Vacation Recap: 2026

I’ve been gone. Not as long as I sometimes am, but still gone.

I was on vacation. I know, I know. Crazy talk.

But seriously, I went on a little adventure to Florida. Swam with the jellyfish. Saw some Dolphins. Watched the Blue Angels come screaming over my head.

Most importantly, I spent some much needed time with my wife. We relaxed by the beach, explored, collected some seashells. Basic vacation stuff.

The days were too short. But it was a good reminder to step out of my stress zone. To go forth and do things that get me away from the chaos of work and life. To let my body rest.

One of our first stops on this grand adventure was a tour of the U.S.S Missouri. This beautiful battleship was absolutely awesome to walk around, and watch the gun demonstrations. While it was toasty (the temps were in excess of 100 degrees Fahrenheit) the interior of the ship had air conditioning units installed that helped keep things comfortable.

Next, a relaxing trip to the beach. There’s not much really to say about this, except that the nature was fun and I enjoyed every second.

After that came the flight of the Blue Angels. Such an absolute banger of an airshow, and we only caught a practice flight. Highlight of the show? Two of these bad boys flying screaming overhead at about 700Mph.

I sadly didn’t get many great pictures of the dolphins. I was a bit too slow with the camera this day to get much of anything, and I was truly just relaxing most of this trip. That being said, they did come all the way up to the boat, and that was pretty dang awesome.

The view from our balcony was pretty great later on in the day. The perfect spot to chill and watch the sunset.

So there you have it! The highlights of a much needed rest, thank goodness. Sadly, it’s back to the grind now, but that means more great stuff for you guys to read, and more consistent posts coming back. Thank you all for reading, and God bless you.
