How do you use social media?

I don’t use social media anymore. And that’s a crazy statement in the time that we live, but it’s true.

If you stand back and looked at all of the people saying “like, subscribe, comment” you’d probably think the world had been brainwashed.

And you aren’t far off.

Everything online is an algorithm. A lot of these algorithms are designed to keep you looking at increasingly unhealthy content, things that can hurt your attention span, your relationships, your mental health, and your finances.

And there’s been a great deal of research recently showing that the companies using these algorithms KNOW what they’re doing to us, and just choose to let it slide.

I won’t be a participant to that, unless it is absolutely forced on me. And right now, I have a choice.

It’s the same reason you won’t see ads on my page. I pay good money to keep this site advertising free, and I’ll never willingly connect any advertising to it. I refuse to accept money to push products on you that I wouldn’t personally use, and the truth is, there’s not a lot of them.

So no, there’s no social media for me. And I would encourage you to get rid of yours. I can promise you, you’ll feel better.
