What does it mean to be a good person?
“Jesus said to him: ” ‘You shall love the Lord your God from all your heart, and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the greatest and first commandment. But the second is similar to it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments the entire law depends, and also the prophets.””

Love is, without a doubt in my mind, what makes someone capable of goodness.
Love is defined by action, and the actions of love pour out good things into the people around you.
Without having love poured into you, and without having love to give to others, people turn bitter, and angry. They do things that are spiteful and loathsome.
So what does it mean to be a good person?
To love God, truly and purely, and to love as many people, truly and purely, as you can.
