Also, it’s garbage. Here’s why:
It all comes down to two factors: size and plastic. And to be clear, I used this little pack A LOT. But after a long time using it for multiple purposes, I can’t get behind it. Let’s break it down!
The Plastic
Specifically, I’m talking about the absolute trash they used for the little phone pocket. And the reason I say it is that it broke, completely, and that’s just stupid. When you’re carrying an expensive cell phone, you need to be able to trust the product you put that device in to withstand damage for a 1000$+ dollar device. After about a year of use, the plastic broke down so much that when I went to put my phone in, the seams tore. If that happens, how can I possibly trust this to carry when I’m sprinting, fighting, or doing things outdoors while this is on?
The Size
The sling is simply too small, trying to do too much. With multiple pockets, each divider takes up valuable room that would have been better used just making one, larger compartment. Additionally, using a ever so slightly larger dimension, would have spared so much extra room for a potential user.
The Pros
The ultimate pro of this is the appearance. It looks really good. It’s sleek, and outside of the crappy plastic, it’s as durable as I would expect from a company with the reputation VertX has. Unfortunately, I think consumer hype has made this product sell much better than it’s design warrants.
